There are tons of threads on this subject.

AV is not required for Linux as thre are no known viruses in the wild for linux.

There are AV products you can install but it is really only to scan windows files if you share files with windows users.

ClamTK seems to be the most popular though there are others. see here and read the security stickies.

for torrents transmission is built in, but there is ktorrent, utorrent, vuze, qbittorrent, deluge...all availabel take your pick, all pretty similar, most people seem to use transmission or deluge, i use qbittorrent.

As for downloading embedded media, there are various plugins for firefox such as download helper, unplug etc. or other methods fomr terminal.

as for GTA you will need to use WINE http://www.winehq.org/

well easy is suibjective, alot of people do that that but it requires the buffer to complete and no ease of management.

If it was just that easy countless tools for download would not exist ;-)

Some peoples tmp folders are filled with files and often a certain video can be hard to find, most people prefer a download app for it.

the fist time i did it i just grabed it from my /tmp folder like some1 suggested and it wasn't that hard at all, way easier then using any of those downloader software i was tring b4,

i don't even understand with how easy it is to just grab the vid from your /tmp folder why there are so many apps for it in ubuntu

It works for you so thats cool, but it is not universal

http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/09/saving-flash-videos-in-linux-tmp-no-longer-works/

which is why i recommended a download tool option which seem to work regardless of browser or version of linux.
