I have just bought a new USB wireless adaptor the Netgear N600.
Cant find any information regarding drivers for Ubuntu to start using this and was hoping someone could help me find one? WINE seems a bit more matured. Do drivers work when installed under WINE in which case i can use the installation CD?
Thanks in advance.

hi all, can anyone advise on this? Found many ideas but no solutions. This is supposedly a Broadcom driver. tried this with no luck. Anyway, had enough of ndiswrapper, I am trying madwifi. I let you know how I get on.

I'm running Linux Mint 11 at the moment.

I just bought a Netgear N600 Wireless Dual Band Router and a N600 Wireless Dual Band USB Adapter to go with it. The router works well. Can't get the adapter to work at all.

After installing the "bcmwl-kernel-source" package both via Synaptic package manager *and* again via apt-get in a terminal shell and rebooting my machine each time, the driver never appears in "System -> Administration -> Additional Drivers" so I can activate it.

What's the point of this?
