I was able to startup wlan0 and it created mon0 for me but I was having the negative one issue when using aireplay.
Now I patched my compat wireless via the instructions from the forum and now when I start airmon it doesn't create a mon0 for it, it just stays with wlan0 and turns that into monitor mode.
How can I get it to create the new virtual adapter?
