Hi, I've just resurrected this computer using Ubuntu from a USB card, but I'm finding that Firefox is very unstable and keeps hanging.....I've found the windows version very fast and reliable, but I'm so unimpressed with it crashing literally every few minutes....what am I doing wrong, what can I do to imprve it?

See General Troubleshooting Guide (http://www.webgapps.org/tutorials/firefox/troubleshooting/general-troubleshooting) for Firefox.

Also see my Optimization (http://www.webgapps.org/tutorials/firefox/optimization) and Troubleshooting (http://www.webgapps.org/tutorials/firefox/troubleshooting) tutorials.

BTW, there is not enough information to troubleshoot your problem. Does it happen o every site or just particular ones? Does it happen when viewing flash content? Do you already use AdBlock, NoScript or Flashblock extensions? Do you have the latest video driver installed?

Follow the general troubleshooting tutorial and post the results.
