Intel i5-2500 quadcore processor
AMD Radeon HD 6850 graphics card
asus DRW-24B1ST cd/dvd r/w

We have the same challenge.

Were you able to solve it? did not see any replies to your post.

Others have posted that when they have 6GB/s SATA-III drives connected to their PCs, the Ubuntu installer refuses to see the drives.

It may be that it doesn't have drivers that support accessing those drives.

I have the exact same problem trying to install 10.04 on dual boot.

Motherboard: Gigabyte H61M-D2P-B3
Processor: Intel i3-2100 3.1GHz
Video: Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS
Memory: Kingston 2X2GB DDR3

Edit: By the way, I did checked the md5sum, so I don't think is a bad CD

Any ideas?

Searching on Google for "SATA III Ubuntu" produced the following links, both solved their SATA III and Ubuntu problems.
