Hi everyone,

I have MA-620 infrared receiver and just wanted to ask whether anyone got working LIRC(or something else) with it.I want to control my music/video player with my TV remote control.Thanks in advance.

Hey,

I also had that device but to be honest it's only useful for transferring file to your Windows desktop. You can't use it with LIRC etc,

Because, the protocol is built-in in that device, like you can't get the raw data stream from it, each remote talk in a custom way and your device will reject it's way.

So to work with LIRC you have to build your own (tutorials are on lirc site) or get which allows you to receive raw stream.
