My video card is nearing the end of its life cycle and its noisiness is making me want to get a fanless (or otherwise quiet) video card for my desktop. Does anybody know a Ubuntu compatible card that fits that bill? (I'm currently running Lucid.) I'd probably be using it for video and maybe some light gaming, so I don't need its specs to be too high-end, but I'm curious to hear about any cards that people have had good luck with.

I have a fanless nVidia 9400GT card made by Sparkle that is working just fine in an Ubuntu system, but I bought it over a year ago.

In case anyone else is looking for a fanless option, I bought

Sparkle GeForce 8400GS 512 MB DDR3 PCI with Native HDMI Graphics Card SFPC84GS512U2LP

earlier this year and had some compatibility issues, so I returned it. A week or two after the original post, I decided to give

ASUS GeForce 210 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Low Profile Ready Video Card, EN210 SILENT/DI/1GD3/V2(LP)

a try, and it has been working great under Lucid and Natty.
