Hi,
I have been trying out Unity the last few days and today I decided to look into Gnome 3 to compare. I don't see much of a difference between the two. Now I will say that Gnome 3 looks to be more organized and better layed out but I am confident that the next version of Ubuntu will correct all of that and add more features. I see lots of people who are very unhappy with Unity and yes... I understand that it is very different from the old classic desktop but...it seems that the newest Gnome would not get a warm reception anyway. I may be wrong but.....

Anyone using Gnome 3 that also uses Unity care to give your thoughts?

Thanks,

Penny

I've used both, I just prefer Gnome 3, the way it works is more comfortable to me.

It seems that for you the difference is 'Gnome 3 looks to be more organized and better layed out'. As for lots of unhappy people, that's Linux users that love complaining. Nothing one can do.
