Bought this Thinkpad Edge (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834246076) and installed a new 64 bit version of Ubuntu 11.04.

Worked seemingly perfectly out of the box in a dual boot with Windows 7 setup. I got tired of trying out Unity about a month ago and have just been gone back to the Ubuntu Classic desktop.

Last week I discovered I was unable to play a couple of games and got errors like this when I tried to run them from a terminal:

Cache: 500 (total: 1869) MiB

I also now am unable to log into Unity and get an error saying that my graphics can't support it. I've searched and searched for solutions to no avail. Could I have screwed something up or did an update break my graphics support? Any ideas?

Anyone? Is there more information that I need to give?
