Ive been having loads of problems with bad connections on empathy lately, mainly facebook chat, im not getting messages through empathy when im getting them through facebooks main page chat, ive isolated empathy because i get the messages fine on my phone through both nimbuzz messenger and ebuddy, grrrr non-free software. so i added the empathy ppa thinking that being up to date would help.... wrong! Update manager uninstalled empathy (go figure)??? so i removed the ppa, uninstalled empathy-common and nautilus-sento-empathy because they were listed as dependencies then reinstalled the whole lot, now empathy wont connect to the people nearby network. im completeley stumped, any tips???
