Hello,
After having successfully run Ubuntu 10.x on my Macbook Pro 7,1 for quite some time, I decided to upgrade to 11.04 today. Everything appears to work except for one thing : the trackpad.
Unlike some of the other threads which report unstable or inconsistent behaviour, my condition is entirely consistent : it simply doesn't work. No clicking, no scrolling, no moving of the pointer - it is as if the trackpad doesn't exist.
$ sudo dmidecode -s system-product-name
MacBookPro7,1
$ xinput list
⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)]
⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)]
