Hi all,

I was wondering if it is possible to dual boot UbuntuCE/Windows XP. If so, what are the best websites to follow?

I recently had Ubuntu 10.04, but got a new refurbished laptop. I want to keep Windows XP on there for accessibilty of programs that are not compatible with Ubuntu. But I do like the Christian theme.

Please help. Thanks!

oh and here are some specs on my computer

RAM 1GB
80GB Harddrive
Processor Intel Core2Duo (Centrino Duo) T7200 2.0GHZ

Yes, have a look at the Community docs about setting up a dual-boot system.

I guess I'm also asking if it is compatible with a dual boot with Windows XP.. I don't know if the CE factor would interfere with a dual boot...

This is same as your follow on post. You can install ubuntu then convert to UCE simply and still preserve your dual boot. Again UCE is just ubuntu with added programs/themes.

I'd like to install Ubuntu 10.04 but when I went to install using the live CD, it said that I had Windows XP and Windows NT/2000/XP. There was no option for me to install Ubuntu side by side with Windows.

Should I just install Ubuntu using Wubi or are there any other options?

After I finish installing Ubuntu 10.04, I plan to install the CE edition.
