Hi folks,
I was searching for "sigma Names" and clicked on the sigma names link within the search result only to know that it redirects to http://clearfight.ru/fortran/index.php

This happen yesterday under win XP. So I thought to install Ubuntu as earlier I used ubuntu. The only thing kept my with xp is the dongle I use to connect to internet.

After reading on the net about this problem, I got the message as root kit infection or so. So I got fedup and moved to Ubuntu and thought some how I got to get my dongle get going.

After installing my Ubuntu 11.04 I pluged in my dongle and a few setup under network, WOW it work like a charm. So MS lost me for ever now.

But after this fresh install I still have that redirect problem!!

since SigmaNames.com is my domain I checked the .htaccess file. Every thing is ok there. Checked the DNS its fine too.

So what am I supose to do now? Now even if I type http://sigmaNames.com in FF it redirects to that .ru site.

any help appriciated.

Thank you,

Sathees Navaratnam

Hi,

Check on sucuri.net.

Your wordpress site has a malware infection.

http://sitecheck.sucuri.net/scanner/

You need to remove the offending code and find where the infection came from otherwise it will likely re-occur.

Thank you for the reply.

I did scan and the results were ok. No infection!

So what can I do next?
