Need some advise... [Archive]

Ok, I followed the directions on the wiki and when I get to the part about "Start the Installer" and connect to http://127.0.0.1/center, Firefox wants to download a phtml file. I've searched the forum to no avail...](*,)
I would be eternally grateful for a kick in the right direction as to how to fix this.

This is something relating to php, it seems like php is not installed or working or apache2 isn't connecting to it, don't know tons about setting up php so maybe ask for some help in the Server section of this forum

Sorry, for being so late to get back to you on this.... There was actually two problems/mistakes on my part... see, for one of them ---> http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=179023

And the other was a simple spelling mistake when setting up mysql.... you'd think that 20 years after Hish School I'd still know how to type and spell correctly...duh
