Hi everyone,

I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 & I want to install AVG on my laptop.

When I went on the AVG site I could see four types of AVG,

avg85fix-r874-a3473.i386.deb
.rpm
.sh
.tar.gz
I am using (32bit) Ubuntu 11.04, which should I download & use.

Thanks newbie dsos30.......

The one that ends in .deb, always use .debs when possible

Why do you need to install it, though? Linux doesn't need antivirus.

That's one can of worms I don't believe is best discussed in this thread, there are plenty of places with information regarding why you may or may not want to run anti-virus software.
