hello,
well i am absolutely new to ubuntu,i tried to play a web audio and my browser asked to install a plugin called Microsoft media server protocol source(shortly mms),but my browser couldn get the plugin,the dialog box displayed not available,where can i get that plugin,so i can play the audio., this is the link...

It looks as if all you will need is to install all the various codecs etc etc needed for playing restricted formats.

See https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RestrictedFormats/PlayingDVDs for all the info you need, and follow the instructions on that site.

hi,
just now i tried an another method,i installed vlc-plugin-pulse and i right clicked the media and opened it through my VLC player, it worked.. it plays...

That's because vlc brings many codecs with it, but not all. It is still possible that you may come across media formats that will not play, and if so my link is then worth trying.
