View Full Version : 3.0.0 - Can't mount NFS shares

Hi all,

I've just updated to the 3.0.0 kernel, and after rebooting it seems that I'm unable to mount any of my NFS shares.

I've attached a copy of my boot.log file which mentions a few errors in it.

If I try and mount the shares manually from a terminal screen (after login), it returns me straight back to command prompt (without any errors/messages - like you'd see see with a successful execution) but the shares still won't mount.

I've just rebooted back into kernel 2.6.39-3, and everything is working again.

Just curious if anybody else has run into similar problems?

FWIW ... the relevant parts of my /etc/fstab file are:

192.168.1.16:/STORAGE /media/ZFS nfs rsize=4096,wsize=4096,timeo=14,intr
192.168.1.16:/SYSTEM /media/ZFS/backups nfs nfsvers=3,rsize=4096,wsize=4096,timeo=14,intr

Don't worry David, it's not just you. Have a look at /var/log/syslog and you'll probably see something like:

Jun 14 06:10:24 localhost kernel: [30227.670745] mount.nfs[27450]: segfault at 0 ip 00007f36e7bb4a75 sp 00007fffa0086b50 error 4 in libc-2.13.so[7f36e7b7a000+19b000]
Jun 14 06:10:35 localhost kernel: [30238.130750] mount.nfs[27476]: segfault at 0 ip 00007fb190d4aa75 sp 00007fffa47e4300 error 4 in libc-2.13.so[7fb190d10000+19b000]

I don't see a bug for it on Launchpad yet, but unfortunately I need to run out the door to work now. Please file a bug for it if you can't find one either!
