Hi, I know this has already been asked, but I can,t seem to find a solution that works on my side.
I just bought a M-Audio Mobilepre USB audio interface...
When I go in my sound controls, it is there in my choices.
The sound seems to come out somewhat.
When I go into Audacity, it works, but I need to crank my knobs on the Mobilepre to the maximum, and I need to be very close to my mics. So it doesnt give me any range.
I tried to go in a terminal, typed alsamixer and it sees my mobilepre, i select it with f6 and tells me the mobilepre has no volume controls.
I'm running on Ubuntu 11.04.
I don't think there are any linux drivers for the mobilepre...
Should I return it to the store and get another brand?
Or am I just doing something wrong or missing a step to get it to work properly? or the fact that there are no drivers for linux, I'm doomed with low volume? Do I really NEED a driver if it is detected by ubuntu? I don't want to go back to Windows just for a sound issue...
any help???
thanks
