Greetings ubuntuforum:

I have had success with operating JACK, but I am still learning... I can get audio through my microphone into ubuntu and can record into audacity without a problem, however, I do not know how to get JACK to recognize the audio from the microphone (through the normal mic jack)... any ideas how I may accomplish this so I don't need to do all kinds of file coversions and imports to set down a vocal track with the tracks I record (via USB) through JACK?

Thanks for any ideas,
S

have you tried changing the 'connections' from qjackctl?

Hello!
I upgraded my OS frm Ubuntu 10.10 to 11.04, and the same problem , microphone is not working, neither internal nor external. Though it was working in 10.10. I am not well in touch with Linux OS's in general, kindly, suggest me the simple way to solve this problem.

Thanks.

The connections in Jack indicate clearly the system capture icon connected to Qtractor... makes no sense to disconnect them... other ideas?
