Hi,

I don't know if this is the right place to be posting this question but I'm hoping someone here might be able to help.

What I want to do is set up a Ubuntu server on our intranet that will deal with audio and video file conversions. Our users don't require files to be converted that often, and normally it is just a case of converting from wmv to avi or wav to mp3.

I was hoping that someone might know of a solution that would allow me to have a web frontend where users could add their file to a queue and would then be emailed or given a link on screen to download the file from the server once the conversion was complete.

I have seen that some are using ffmpeg on web servers to upload files and automatically convert them to flv. I can't seem to find any mention of a smiliar setup to what I would like to do.

Thanks in advance.
