Hi people,

I attended a seminar yesterday about cloud computing and there are some information that I would like to discuss.

As of cloud computing, the costs for many services has been reduced, thus many companies are outsourcing some of their needs to cloud service providers.

By using cloud services the need for more bandwidth increases. One speaker at the seminar said that Internet Service Providers have stopped investing large amount of money into researching new ways in order to increase the bandwidth, as this always reduces the costs for bandwidth. If bandwidth increases very slowly and the need increases dramatically then prices will start going up and bandwidth will eventually be treated as gold.

Any views on this matter?

I see the logic in this, but I'd like to pull a Futurama and dismiss this as "depressing".
