guys can you help me how to install blender 2.5 and up to the latest version in my ubuntu 10.04 o.s.. i just want to have that software coz it is a latest version of blender... ..

Unless you compile it from source, the PPA's are only available for 10.10 and 11.04

Download blender from the blender site. Extract the file. Go to the extracted folder and just click the blender executable in that folder. Nothing to install. Sometimes you see a recommendation to copy the .blender file to your home directory (is useful when you installed blender before by mean of compilation or ppa).
