Not quite sure where to post this, so here will do.

In windows you are able to 'expand your desktop' - i think they call it, which basically allows you to drag and drop windows/items onto another screen. Is there something similar to that in linux? I have 2 monitors and wish to use both on the same machine.

Yes this is possible, and depending on your graphics card and 3d hardware requirements, pretty easy.

Which gfx card do you have?
