I was unfamiliar with this word.
I looked it up in the dictionary, so I know what it means.

Is the "one" pronounced as "on" as in "on the table" or as the digit "one"?

I pronounce it:

on-ear-ick.

Feel free to correct me and tell me I'm wrong. :)

Edit: Just seen Zorael's post, I was wrong but after watching the video in m.rankovic's post, it seems that I was right.

I personally say oh-NY-ric. I don't really care if that is correct.

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary on my desk, you're today's grand prize winner.

MacUntu has it right. English orthography may be enigmatic, but IPA never lies (unless it's transcribed improperly). In rough phonetic translation, it comes out to oh-NIGH-rick (or oh-NY-ric, as ratcheer has it above). Some IPA transcriptions seem to have it /ō-ˈnī-rik/ (the "I" sounds as in "bid"), though, which only adds to the confusion. This version is pretty close to what Mark Shuttleworth says.

I'm sticking with the former, in any case.

Geez, I hope it doesn't get as lame and juvenile as the "Thank Yous" got previously.
With people begging for TY's in their sigs. and all.
Threads with two relevant posts and 30 TY's,
If you know what I mean? Seems like more work for the mods.

I guess I just don't get all this Likes & Follows and Cyber peer-group need for self flattery
