This actually the biggest problem that i have with ubuntu. Since Lucid i can't use my laptop on my classes and presentations, because the output video displayed throught vga-port is completely "wavvy".

Seens that a patch have already been posted on this (https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=28306#c48) freedesktop thread, but no update on natty yet. Is there anychance for it to be fixed on oneiric ?

They submit a patched version of 2.6.39rc7 with a fix for the wavvy problem ! Now i can use my laptop again on my classes, but you still can't use both screens at the same time. Let's hope this fix land in the default kernel.
