Hello list ...
I'm fairly new to Linux, coming from the BSD family.
I'm running Xubuntu 10.10. I used 'synaptic' to install a console-based email app called "cone" - version 0.84. The latest sources are 0.89, which I DLed - but had a bitch of a time building the package.
So I'm wondering - is it possibel to upgrade 0.84 to 0.89 right from 'synaptic'? Is there a better method to get the package upgraded? How do I find out who the maintainer is? Who wants to give me a million bucks? and a free cruise to the Caribbeans? ... and :))
Seriously, is there a way to upgrade? Much obliged!
