Can anyone recommend me a music player that work simular to windows media player so I can have all my music there and chose by album, artst, genre etc what to play or just play it all randomly. I've tried a few players but they don't seem to have a 'library' as such. I'm having trouble with Rhythmbox as it won't import some of my files. Thank you

I use Clementine and it works great. Just have it scan your library. But it's for audio only.

If rhythmbox won't import some of your files, you probably don't have all of the gstreamer plugin packages installed (good, bad, ugly, bad-multiverse, and ugly-multiverse).
I'd also recommend trying guayadeque and maybe Exaile.

+1 for Clementine

I used Guayadeque before but switched to Clementine because of the prettier interface. :)

I never liked WMP when I used Windows. So don't know if I'm best guy to ask.

But on Ubuntu I love Exaile. On Windows I used Foobar2000 for audio files. I like Exaile better than Foobar2000, but Foobar does do some things Exaile can't.
