I've always used Chromium instead of Chrome. But I've switched because I love the Print Preview feature in Chrome. Unfortunately it requires the PDF viewer to work, hence it won't work in Chromium :(

I prefer chrome to chromium because of the channels. With chromium you have stable version in repos or daily ppa, with chrome you get stable, beta, dev. I prefer to use dev. I also like the integrated pdf viewer.

There's a stable, beta, dev and daily channel for Chromium via ppa. The daily is kinda similar to the Canary build on Windows and now Mac, but not quite so volatile. The other three mirror the Chrome channels.

I use Chromium because I like the icon better :D It's a backup browser anyway.

I like the Chromium icon better too :-) It's also my backup browser.

I dont see any major difference between chrome and chromium for most stuff. Currently I have chrome on my desktop and chromium on my netbook.
