Hi!
The comment from me is that both OpenStack and Eucalyptus remain strong and available in "main" for Ubuntu 11.10. OpenStack has a lot of interest around it today, while Eucalyptus has maturity and stability. Euca v3 sounded very interesting to me. The more options, the more merrier :)

Eucalyptus is most certainly NOT stable. In fact it has so many bugs and compromises that I'm about to dump it for something that IS more stable. That's not a light decision, either. I was planning on making it the core of our infrastructure and my team and I have spent months trying to get it to work in a production environment but it's so brittle that we get nervous even launching new instances.

Cheers,
Scott
