I'm an idiot (i locked myself out)

it prompted me to create an account, and i managed to type the user name in with no password.

Now.. for some reason, i'm unable to login with the user name without a password, my user name with a password (tried both the password i set for mysql and my system), can't login with root, can't login with anything..

and i have no idea how to change it..

I even tried re-installing it..and it's a no go.

help?

Can you boot into recovery mode?
If so, do that and type passwd username

sudo su to get root.

i locked myself out of Ubuntu Center. The webpage prompting me to create acct/password is what i was talking about....

would booting into recovery mode do anything regarding this?

for both the 127.0.0.1 addy and the 192.168.0.x addy.

Alright anyway, go to the terminal and run these commands to reset your password.

/usr/share/ubuntucenter/clearuserpasswords.sh
then
/usr/share/ubuntucenter/adduser.sh

it will prompt for a username and then password for that user. Use that to login

I have 2 more problems... is there alot of configuring i must for this to be available on the web? or is already setup and i just need to do some port forwarding on my router? If that's the case that doesn't seem to be working but i'll figure it out.

2ndly.. what exactly do i put in /home/Shared/Music .. i've added catalogs numerous times. I've placed mp3s, oggs, and flacs in there, m3u playlists.. and it recognizes nothing.
