11.04 Can't drag prgrams onto the desktop

I just installed 11.04, and I have the problem of when I try to drag a program launcher, for example Firefox, onto the desktop, there would be an error saying:

There was an error getting information about "/"

Any idea what that means?

I have the same problem. The only way I found to do that is login with classic gnome, dragging and then coming back to Unity and the shortcut keeps in desktop but it's not funny having to do that...

Any idea Ubuntu Masters??

open the file manager & middle click drag from /usr/share/applications
