A few days ago I installed Linux Mint 10 on my laptop, completely removing Windows. I can't stand it to be honest and I like what I see about Ubuntu. Is there any way I can burn Ubuntu on a disk and install it while running Linux Mint? or does the process only work on Windows and Mac? Any help is appreciated.

Look here: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto

You can download and burn from Mint.

You can use a Live CD/USB/DVD in any OS as long as you can boot from the optical drive or the USB drive. You could also dual boot or virtualize Ubuntu with VirtualBox (http://www.virtualbox.org/) or VMWare (http://www.vmware.com/)

Booting from a USB drive is the optimal method for me, as I have a netbook with no CD drive! Plus it is always handy if a buddy of mine wants to make the linux leap!

USBs are fasten than CDs/DVDs. I don't have a spare USB though. I have an external drive I could stick a partition in, but my computer cant boot from USB anyway. I'm stuck with CDs (I can't use DVDs either since i can't burn them).
