I was curious, did they ever get the videos working with the Neverwinter Nights client for Linux?

Can u direct me towards the guide? I've managed to watch the movies with Bink player (downloaded from official site), but I don't know how to make the client play them :( . Thanks!

I have been meaning to write a gudie, but haven't really had the time. There is a native Bink player now, so you really don't have to convert them to ogm first.

That's where you want to go to get the movies and a lot of other things (like per-user settings) working.

I tried this a while back and (unless things have changed) the best you can do is to get a script so that you can play the movies, though the client won't show them automatically or even prompt.

Sorry :(

They're not that great anyway...

No, Nwmovies actually shows them at the correct places ingame. Even the menu for watching them is working in the latest version. It does have some minor issues sometimes for me but mostly works well. :)

Good stuff!

I'll try that again then! Shame Bioware can't integrate it into a patch or something - guess it depends on mediaplayers that aren't integrated into the game.

It would be nice to have something similar to FRAPS on linux.

Oddly, I couldn't find any more updates to this program. It was released in Oct 2004 under a BSD license, so not sure why no other releases have come out.
