I recently installed Lubuntu on my laptop, and it's working great. However, one detail is bothering me...

When I boot the machine, I get 2 lines of text that read:

error: out of disk
unable to find mode (or something like that)

But then Lubuntu boots up and works perfectly. Anything to worry about? Thanks.

I got exactly the same problem when I installed Lubuntu. Except for me it did not boot properly after that. I got lots of lines and it freezes. After googling a little I found it was probably something GRUB related.

However is it not worth asking the forum on the lubuntu webpage ? (if there is one, can't access it atm)

I didn't see any forums on lubuntu.net. But I'll keep looking. This is actually the first time I've got any *buntu distro past 10.04 to install on my machine. Anything after that, whether fresh install or upgrade, would not boot and take me to a GRUB rescue prompt. :P
