Hi,

I would like to install a realplayer plugin for firefox on ubuntu. I followed the step of this page --> https://help.ubuntu.com/community/RealPlayerInstallationMethods. This page said that installing lsb package is the prerequieste for the Real Player installation. However, I got error of installing lsb package via Software center or apt-get command. Please help.

If I install lsb via Software center, the error message will be like :

This error could be caused by required additional software packages which are missing or not installable. Furthermore there could be a conflict between software packages which are not allowed to be installed at the same time.

If I install lsb via command line : sudo apt-get install lsb, the error message will be like :
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
lsb : Depends: lsb-desktop but it is not going to be installed
E: Broken packages

Please help

Thanks
