I have a Logitech ClearChat Wireless heasdset (http://www.logitech.com/en-us/webcam-communications/internet-headsets-phones/devices/4226). It works perfectly with Ubuntu 10.04. However, I just upgraded my desktop machine to 11.04 and noticed that I now hear a lot of static. 11.04 detects and installs the headset seamlessly just like 10.04 and in fact the headset still works perfectly under 10.04 (which I still have on my laptop). The amount of static is directly related to the amount of sound that is being sent to the headset. No music, no static.

I'm trying to diagnose if this is an issue with the driver or if there is a component above that that needs configuration.

Has anyone else encountered this yet?

Strange, I have no problem here. What's your computer?

I run this:
GA-EX58-UD5

Though I am running the x64 version of 11.04.

dFlyer, mmorgan27: Are you running the 32 or 64 bit version?
