I had a 3D desktop already and then you go with Unity. I hope to try to make it more user friendly! Nope now I have to search for everything, anything. With Gnome it was click scroll found! WTF... I don't give a **** if I can flip a term window around.

...end rant...

come on really?

I'm not quite sure what your question is.

You may find the following tutorials will help you understand how to use Unity.
Getting started in Unity (http://theravingrick.blogspot.com/2011/04/my-effort-at-writing-help-for-unity.html)
The Power User's Guide to Unity (http://castrojo.tumblr.com/post/4795149014/the-power-users-guide-to-unity)

I think his question was, "Unity - why?".

I don't know the answer either.
