Hello Everyone,

I am new on Linux. I used to have Kubuntu 10.04 Yesterday the software asked me for an update and after that. My wireless interface is disable. And every-time I try to check the enable wireless is became uncheck again. And I do have the possibility to go wired.

I have a laptop Gateway LT3201h.

Here is a recent thread about the Atheros AR928x wireless, and it sounds like there are some issues with 802.11n that are partially "solved" by forcing 802.11b or 802.11g wireless communication in the wireless router setup (see posts 15, 16 and 19):

I have read before that some of the "software" wireless interfaces apparently require you to go into Windows 7 (or Vista) to enable the wireless- it's like the wireless firmware only communicates with Windows for some reason. If you still have dual-boot with windows, that might be worth a try also.

The curious of the case is that before was working perfectly. After login I have to check it, because always started disabled. But now never come to active state anymore
