It seems that Ubuntu 10.10 and 11.04 do not recognize the onboard network interface on my Intel DP55WG Desktop board. ifconfig only outputs the loopback interface. Here is the output of ifconfig:

lo Link encap:Local Loopback
inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0
inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host

An interesting thing about my problem is that when I first started Ubuntu after installing and logging in, I had a working internet connection. Once I restarted the computer, though, there was no longer any eht0 interface. I have had this problem for both 10.10 and 11.04 when I have tried installing Ubuntu on my desktop. Any ideas?
