I want to find a linux app that can import ical and contacts from Mac OS X - any suggestions on the best app or apps that can do this most seemlessly? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm currently using "kontact" groupware. I know that imports ical. I now prefer it over gnome default "Evolution". Kontact can be downloaded and installed from Software Center or Synaptic.

This is absolute beginner talk. a long list of programs isn't enough information. Does any have info on what programs are easiest, and HOW to import the data from iCal and Adressbook?
Since Evolution is standard, a tutorial on importing data from Mail, iCal and Adressbook, would be great.

Be aware that Kontact is part of the KDE desktop environment, and will require installing a lot of extra stuff to get it working in GNOME.

The OP asked for "I want to find a linux app that can import ical and contacts from Mac OS X"....all those listed in that link are not Linux applications....the ones that are can be investigated one by one if you so care to see which one fits their situation best.
Instead of criticizing others posting why don't you post something that at least can be construed as constructive. If the OP wants more information and needs more information he can ask.

Thanks for your responses. I don't need to know how to set up the linux apps, just a recommendation on which one(s) would be recommended for use in importing ical and contact data (running on Mac os x).
