Nothing is working I tried
ctrl+alt+t and does not open the terminal
the button printscreen is not working either. ??

Is their a way to reset the keyboard so that the shortcuts work againg?

I have compiz installed if that helps?
I have already checked the setting within compiz and gnoma compatibility is on.

You can reset the keyboard shortcuts via the control panel 'Keyboard Shortcuts'. It's located in the preferences menu (if I'm not mistaken). And you can remap any of the shortcuts.

Yes Calavier I have tried that but didn't work. Also after restart all the windows top bar disappeared.
The one with the minimize, maximize and close button is gone. So I just re-installed and all is well.
