Hi,

I recently need to install windows, so I format my entire system and reinstall windows and ubuntu lucid again. This time I installed Proprietary graphics driver from vendor site (from here : http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/linux/Pages/radeon_linux.aspx)
my problem is though my power supply is on, still battery doesn't get charge above 80%. Once it reach to 80%, the message pops up saying only 3% battery remaining. When I checked on power management, it says (Laptop Battery discharging 80.0%) and it power charging doesnt go beyond 80%.
With Windows, my battery get charged fully 100%.

Second problem with battery backup, with windows I am getting 2 hr batter life compare with ubuntu, which gives me 1 hr and 20 min battery life.

My Configuration
Sony Vaio E series laptop
i3 processor
ATI Readon 1GB Graphics card (1080p)
4GB Ram
Windows 7 64Bit
Ubuntu 10.04 32 Bit
