USB doesn't seem to be working. Did a fresh install of 10.10 UNR from USB and whenever I put in a USB stick, the light on the USB flickers, but nothing shows up on the desktop. Anyone else experiencing this problem and/or have a fix?

I am having the same problem. Usually google solves all my problems but this one is still present.

I have aspire one D250 also and this usb problem is driving me nuts. I have can use my usb mouse and it works as it should. But data travelers wont work.

I have tried to setup the lates version of the BIOS but it seems that it does not work properly.

I turn of the computer. Plug the usb with the new bios files. Then holding down the FN+ESC buttons turn on the computer and the the power button should flikker, but it does not. The computer just turns on.

I would really like to get my usb working so if someone had this problem and has fixed it and stumbles into this threat please tell us how you got it to work.

Generally a re-formattng may fix this, look if the usb's are showing in a partition manager, install gparted if needed.

If you have a windows set up reformat it there, or down load a ISO of a bootable partitioner, just to considering the possibilities here. I have a d250, the only trouble I have is with a sdhc card always being read, formatted usb/thumbs never cause problems for me.

At times I have used all these methods. to get the sdhc card back

Are you saying to completely reformat the drive and install UNR 10.10 again? I'm not quite following you.
