I installed ubuntu 10.04.2 LTS on my EeePC 1015 PEM.
I have the sound output on the internal speakers and analog-out working fine.

But the microphone(both analog-in and on the monitor) does't work

I've checked out settings under:
System>Preferences>Sound Preferences
[and]
Applications>Sound and Video>PulseAudio Volume Control
[and]
alsamixer

here's more details:http://www.alsa-project.org/db/?f=04196a820919124a9bae6dbc0982b6d382123ee0

I'm also not getting the volume control on the top bar.
(I've tried 'right click' > Add to panel)

I've search every other method on the forum and it didnt work :(

Changing auto to basic in the alsa-base.conf got my analog-in working. but still no luck with the internal mic.
