I have an asus 701 netbook with a 4 gig ssd I am trying to use the sd slot as an alternative memory device. Ubuntu from instalation failed to "see" the slot. When I checked it showed on the usb hub along with the usb ports and the hub itself.

From the terminal I get: Bus 004 Device 002: ID eb1a:2761 eMPIA Technology, Inc. EeePC 701 integrated Webcam
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0951:1606 Kingston Technology
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

Is there an add on or other way to recognize my card reader and give this little net book another lease on life.

Thanks

Miles
