Hello there everyone!

Some days ago I got an "old" Insys laptop and I decide to install Ubuntu and get into this! :)

I have a original 9.10 installation CD that I use to install the fresh copy on this. So wend I install the 9.10 version all the boot options run smooth but wend I upgrade this to 10.04 or 10.10 the problems start.

So wend the PC boot this message display's:

"mount: mounting none on /dev failed: No such device
chroot: cannot execute /etc/apparmor/initramfs: No such file or directory
init: ureadahead main process (306) terminated with status 5"

So who can help me? :)

Forgot to say that I have to boot on:

"Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.31-14-generic" because the 2.6.35-28-generic show's me a black screen and wont move anywhere. :)

You probably used several hundred megabytes just for the upgrade alone. That bandwidth would have been put to better use by just downloading 10.10, burning it, and doing a fresh install. Upgrades can be messy at times.

So what you suggest is to download 10.10, burn it and see if the problem continues? O.K. i gonna do that.
