I Have just get an RAID-5 array with 3 300GB disks. One of the disks are only partially synchronized and have a degraded state according to Disk utility. But the RAID array revovering, but it have only done 20% during an hour.
Should it take so long time?

I have 2 of the disk on the same IDE-channel and that should not be so good i think.

I have an ITE IT8212F ata/raid-card lying on a shelf, cos linux-drivers don't work well any more (I think it get bad for 2-3 years ago). But could it bee an idea to install one of the disks on that?

Edit: PS. Also checken and reparing the 600GB Array takes 3-5 hours with disk utilities.

cheers

seems to take that time to syncronizing?
