View Full Version : [SOLVED] Robocoding Project

For the last month of my Java class, all we're going to be doing is robocode. I've already played around w/ it some and have some decently working robots, but extra credit goes to the winner and I've had a bad semester, so I need those points.
On this first battle, we aren't allowed to use anything that extends AdvancedRobot, which puts a damper on my plans; I was going to use some wave surfing principles. Is that even possible with your basic robot?
I was also trying to look for lists of methods/techniques specific to both the basic and advanced robots (not just the turnGunRight or whatever) that could maybe give me an edge, but still ensure that I'm in the legal range. Any ideas/where could I possibly find some stuff?
If anyone wants to give me tips/ideas/strategies/resources (NOT code, where's the fun in that?), that'd be great. I can use all the help I can get.
Thanks

Sorry to see that you didn't get any responses.

Were you able to create a nice project nonetheless?

Somewhat. It was a rough semester.
