I have an Acer Aspire 5920G laptop. it comes with an Nvidia video card (Gforce 8600M GT) and recently i had to "upgrade" due to the Nvidia card dying on me. Now i have an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4670. My computer is dual boot with WinVista.
I booted up to Ubuntu (10.10) and all i get is a "fuzzy" green screen. you can tell something is trying to happen, but you cant see it. i assume it is due to video driver issues. i tried to go into recovery mode, hoping that it would be like windows safe mode to take care of the drivers, but it put me into a terminal environment and i am not sure what to do and how.
help with this, or direction/links, to take care of this is greatly appreciated.
cheers
