I made my upper panel partially transparent but the indicator applet will not change. Is there any way I can change it?

Does this (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1720747) help? There might be a background for the menu area and indicator area set by the panel's theme.

Which theme are you using? You can sometimes (if not always) find the answer in that theme's gtkrc or panel.rc file.

Thanks but I am using a custom theme.
Edit: fixed using similar codes used here, thanks.
